Better funding to become available for SMEs

Metro Bank Supports SMEs With Cash Flow Problems

Now here’s some exciting news: Metro Bank, which has more than 12 branches throughout London, is going to be helping small businesses to overcome cash flow problems by offering millions in funding. This is in association with Vince Cable, who is the Business Secretary in the existing coalition government.

Supporting Dynamic UK Businesses

Cable, whose GrowthAccelerator programme will result in £100 million being given to eligible SMEs via Metro Bank, had this to say: “It is good news for businesses that new entrants like Metro Bank are energising the market to support dynamic, fast-growing UK businesses.”
Metro Bank is the first bank to open in more than 100 years, and is looking to snatch some valuable market share amongst small businesses from Natwest and the Royal Bank of Scotland. Together, these two financial institutions look after the financial interests of more than a quarter of all companies in operation throughout the UK.
